A couple of months ago, I sent out an survey to our email subscribers asking what they were looking for from The I Do List. In addition to realistic planning advice, they wanted to see more inspiration from real weddings.
More inspiration from real weddings, we could do that. However, we wanted to do it in a way that stayed true to who we are. At The I Do List, we pride ourselves on the fact that we provide real advice and inspiration for our readers. This means that any advice, tips or articles you read on our site are being written by actual wedding professionals. And, any inspiration and products we feature are attainable by the average couple.
So, when it came to featuring real weddings, we wanted to ensure that the weddings we were featuring had overall budgets in line with your budget. You won’t see a real wedding with a budget over $30,000 here. Additionally, we’ll be sharing as much detail as we can about how that wedding was executed within the budget.
To launch our real weddings, I’ve decided to put my money where my mouth is. The wedding you are about to see is actually my wedding. My husband and I were married two years ago today (happy anniversary babe!) in St. Augustine Beach. Our entire wedding for 125 guests cost a total of about $21,000.
